2026  SPRING TRAINING CAMP – EVENT

Big League Experience will be hosting a Spring Training camp prior to entering the USSSA Spring classic event taking place from March 23 to 27th (Monday to Friday) in the Phoenix, Arizona Area.

WHERE: Mesa/Peoria, Arizona

DATE: March 23 – March 27th (Monday – Friday)

PRE-TOURNAMENT SPRING TRAINING CAMP: From Monday to Friday (March 23 to March 27th)

LOCATION: Practices and exhibition games will be located at either the Cactus Yards (4536 E. Elliot Rd., Gilbert, Arizona) or Arizona Athletic Grounds (6321 Ellsworth rd., Mesa, Az).

The clinic will entail Specialty work on:

  • Throwing mechanics to specified throwing routine and drills to strengthen arm
  • Pitching – Mechanics, Command the zone, contain the running game
  • Positional play: Catching, Infielding & Outfielding
  • Hitting – Mechanics to mental – When do you get started, see the pitch, react
  • Offensive strategy – Running the bases and putting pressure on the defense
  • Defensive Strategy – cutoffs, relay’s, double plays, Pickoffs……

PAST INSTRUCTIONAL TEAM HAS INCLUDED:

  • Former Canadian Olympic team coach and Milwaukee Brewers Scout Marty Lehn
  • Head Coach of Bend Elks (Collegiate Summer team – WCL) and Minnesota Twins scout Allen Cox
  • 12-year Major League pitcher and World Series winner Albie Lopez
  • 2-Time All-Star Shea Hillenbrand
  • Former MLB and Canadian National team pitcher Dustin Molleken
  • Regional Pitching Instructor for National Pitching Association and former Associate Scout with the Atlanta Braves Eric Ruben
  • Former Pro Player and Collegiate coach Jordan Blundell
  • International European Coach and Team BC Coach/clinician Paul Mrazek

COST: $499.00 USD and must be Paid in Full 4 weeks Prior to event date (by Feb. 23rd) deposits paid are Non-Refundable.

Monday, March 23

4:00 – 6pm:  Intro – Throwing 101, Specialty Primary position, Secondary Position
7 – 9pm: Hitting 101, Hitting station drills and Live

Tuesday, March 24

10:00am – 12:00 ~ Prepare to play warm up, Baserunning, defensive positional play
1:00 – 2:30 – Hit and hit some more
2:30 – 4pm – Live game situation – Intersquad

Wednesday, March 25       

9:30am – 12pm – Hitting with Defensive reads + Specialty position work.
6:30- 9pm: Exhibition game

Thursday March 26           

9:30 – 11:00 – Warm up to Positional Specialty work – Primary and Secondary
11 – 12pm – Live BP to Game situation – Coach Pitch
6pm – Seminar – Doing what it takes for success
7 to 9pm – Exhibition game

Friday, March 27th           

9:30am- 12pm
6:35pm – ASU vs. West Virginia game at Phoenix Municipal Stadium

Payment Policy:

A designated Non Refundable Deposit must be paid to reserve your spot in the event (50% of Tournament and Travel Events and 25% for camps).  Please understand that this is a NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT for any circumstance as it is needed to secure staff and operations. *Please understand that exceptions have been made to carry over/transfer to family member the Non Refundable Deposit and full payments for a future event but only under special circumstances and must be agreed upon by management. For ‘Best of the West” Tournament Play – Weather or Cancellation:

In the case of weather or cancellation of games or an event, the following will be our refund policy. Please note that we will try our best to get your games and event in.

0 games = 90% refund    1 game = 67% refund      2 games = 33% refund    3 or more = no refund

For Team BLE Travel events – Weather or Cancellation:

Withdrawal from a BLE event one month prior to the start date will result in NO REFUND.  Once again, management does reserve that right to offer a credit under special circumstances. (fm1)
