Description: Spring Training “TEAM CAMP” and TOURNAMENT in the Valley of the Sun

Date: March 24 – 29 (Monday – Saturday)

Where: Mesa, Arizona

Objective: Training camp/games for 16U/18U aged Teams over 6 days in the Valley of the sun starting Monday, March 24th and ending Saturday, March 29th.  The camp will give the opportunity for each individual player and team to work on skill development with their Team Coaches along with former MLB players, coaches and scouts during the event.  A great opportunity to prepare for the upcoming season under the guidance of those that have played with and trained the best in the game.

Overview and what is included for Team Camp week:

  • Instruction in all aspects of the game under the watchful eyes of an elite instructional staff
  • Team Practice time and Exhibition Games followed by a tournament with your team that will start in the middle of the week.
  • All costs associated with fields, games, tournament, umpires and special guests

Also please note this is for teams of 12 players or more who will be participating in the tournament under their own coaching staff.

Player fee is:  $550 CDN/per player + GST

  • Monday, March 24:
    • 3 – 5:15pm  Meet and Greet – Throwing to Specialty session
    • 6 – 8pm    Continuation of Afternoon schedule- Intro to hitting
  • Tuesday, March 25:
    • 9:00 – 11am  Movement/Baserunning – Specialty work
      • 12:40pm – D-Backs vs. Washington Guardians Exhibition game
    • 5pm – 9pm  Exhibition Game – TBA
  • Wednesday, March 26:
    • 10 am to 3pm
      • BP and hitting instructional session
      • Positional Specialty session
      • Team time with potential scrimmage
  • Thursday, March 27th :
    • 9:30am – Team Practice
    • 4:30pm – Tournament begins – Game times – TBA (Single Game)
  • Friday, March 28th
    • Pre – game BP with Tournament Games – DH’er Friday
  • Saturday, March 29th
    • Continuation of Tournament – Championship round and Consolation games

Shea Hillenbrand – Two time MLB All

Marty Lehn – Former Canadian Olympic team coach, MLB scout and Big League Experience Camps

Albie Lopez – 12 year MLB pitcher and World Series Champion with Arizona D-Backs

Reggie Rivard – Former 11 year Pro Pitcher and member of Team Canada.  Played Collegiately at Washington State Univ.

Lachlan Fontaine – Professional Coach with Quebec Capitals of Frontier league and former player in Seattle Mariners organization

Alex Hendra-Brown – Former International catcher and played at Linfield College in Oregon

Jordan Blundell – Former Professional player and Head Coach of the Edmonton Prospects Collegiate program

Allan Cox – Collegiate coach at Gwinnett College in Georgia and former Okotoks Dawgs coach.  ABCA hitting instructor

 

In Conclusion:

Each team and individual will have:

– Practice and specialty sessions with Pro staff

– Team practices

– Seminar sessions with Movement and Mental Training

– Team Practice times, Exhibition along with “Desert Spring Classic” Tournament games

**Airfare, Hotels, Meals and Transportation when in Arizona will have to be provided by either the individual or their club Teams.

For Team BLE Travel events – Weather or Cancellation:
